It’s that time of year again… summertime plans are being made for festivities, and then travels and road trips around beautiful New Zealand.
Once again our journeys through the year have seen us venture to many different parts of New Zealand, mapping New Zealand’s food treasures, updating our travel guide, your road trip companion.
We have many enduring memories of finding stunning, fresh, diverse and honest food right throughout the country - and we offer our sincere thanks to all those who have put their hearts and souls into the delightful eateries, food producers, farmers’ markets and kitchen crafts we find dotted around. There’s definitely an abundance of amazing and authentic offerings all over… fantastic finds for the traveller out and about on the road.
It’s been a significant milestone for us, updating our travel guide - your road trip companion - to cover all of New Zealand. And, to create on our guide, some new specialty product trails, showcasing some of New Zealand’s finest, that you’ll find on journeys throughout the country. It’s been a real pleasure to look at New Zealand and its regions through product-centric lenses - and to understand a little better the exceptional food producer talent that pops up here and there, just a little off the beaten track, from Stewart Island to Cape Reinga.
And, as 2018 comes to a close, we’re looking forward to new things and new approaches as a new year rolls around. There is much in the pipeline, not the least continuing to find and update your road trip companion with more of New Zealand’s classic kiwi food moments.
So a signoff from our team for this year. We are very much looking forward to catching up again in 2019, and thank you for your support and feedback this year. We are, as always, immensely grateful for it.
Sending summer greetings, and best wishes to you all, for safe, happy and blue sky travels, with time to enjoy some of New Zealand’s wonderful food, and meet some of New Zealand’s tremendous food producers.
