Why: We visited this beautiful site for delicious coffee, in a smart setting. On a sunny day, enjoy a lovely courtyard with sunny yellow benches and delightful plant growth.
What’s more: This cafe is a special and slick Hastings treat - concrete floors, walls and roof. It shares the space with Ya Bon, a French baker (also on the app)… How tremendous to view through the big glass windows the work going on for baking. And you can enjoy Ya Bon’s stunning pastries here too.
What else: Heretaunga Street has another food treat nearby - head just across the street for more French-inspired treats, and find La Petite Chocolat (also on the app). And after pastries and chocolate, there are Hawke’s Bay walks to stretch the legs. Head straight up to Te Mata Peak, leaving the car somewhere along the way and walking or biking to the peak.
