Why: We visited this beautiful place for breakfast pastries and delicious breads, to take away. Try the pain au chocolate, for a perfect start to the day.
What’s more: This bakery is a special Hastings treat. How tremendous to view through the big glass windows the work going on for baking - and treats heading out to stores all around Hawke’s Bay. And in the same site there’s Cupple (also on the app) for a sit down coffee - and Ya Bon sampling.
What else: Heretaunga Street has another food treat nearby - head over the road for more French-inspired treats, La Petite Chocolate (also on the app) is just across the street. And after pastries and chocolate, there are Hawke’s Bay walks to stretch the legs. Head straight up to Te Mata Peak, leaving the car somewhere along the way and walking or biking to the peak.
