Why: We visited one evening for a delicious Japanese offering here down an arcade in the heart of the river city of Whanganui - and were lucky enough to secure a table in among the many reserveds…
What’s more: You can sit outdoor, some say al fresco, but you’re still in a covered courtyard with gas heaters overhead, the best of both - excellent gyoza and broccoli on offer….
What else: One good thing to do here - after lunch, or before dinner, wander down to the riverside down Victoria Ave for a stroll along the mighty Whanganui River.
